Katie Benedetto develops sites and apps through her company, Yellow Rubber Ball. After obtaining a master’s in math at UNC, she taught herself web development and launched a successfulweb business.
Inspired by Tim Ferriss’ book The Four Hour Workweek, and Chris Guillebeau’s fantastic World Domination Summit community, Katie started the Triangle Lifestyle Design Meetup group to rally lifehackers in the Triangle area. The group meets weekly to discuss topics such as starting a successful lifestyle business, attaining financial freedom, travel hacking, building a successful blog, and other topics in the space of lifestyle design and ultimate freedom.
Katie is currently focusing her web work on doing “websites for good”, which has included work for nonprofits, and two addiction recovery social networks. She recently launched a new lifestyle startup, Crittr.co – a quantified self web app that helps people track their moods and habits, in a silly, playful way.
Katie and her fiance live in Durham. Follow her on Twitter at @heykatieben.
